Blog

Maybe the website is alive…

It looks like something is wrong with the stats plugin (if anyone knows how to fix this, hit me up on the comments section. We’re using the wordpress.com stats plugin), even after people started commenting on the last post, the stats remained as zero visitors since the 29th.

We haven’t had any donations yet, but that’s not important; what’s important is that people actually visit the site and read the blog.

So, what’s happened between this post and the last one? Nothing, really. I haven’t talked to Johan in quite a bit, so I don’t know what the process on Unbroken is, but I’m sure it’s close to being finished. Thanks to all of you for being so patient– we really appreciate you not giving up on us!

Redesigned? AGAIN!?

I have successfully redesigned the website to fit all the needs when it comes to comments and stats (and good looks ;) ). It has had this design for about a week now, but I wanted to post when the stats came in on how many visitors we have had since I first designed this website last week.

How many visitors, you ask? NONE, except for me… I guess there’s no point to this site if no one visits it, so I think it’s good  that we will shut it down in October.

This post itself is a bit redundant– why talk when there’s no one listening?

Blaster Master Machinima

Just kidding– we’re not working on a Blaster Master movie, but if you want it, I’ll see what I can do…

I’m not very good at making websites– I update the website by adding text to the index page in Adobe Dreamweaver. What I want to have here is a website that I can update anywhere using a web browser and I also want people to be able to comment on posts and videos here. I also want each video to have its own page where I can embed it (using blip) and underneath the video, I want to have a comments section. If anyone knows a good CMS, contact me:
niklas@fireboltproductions.com

We’re not dead! (but the website is)

The website will be removed OCTOBER 2010

Email

This will be a really short update, as nothing has happened since the last post. I just wanted to let you know that you can ask me about anything by emailing niklas@fireboltproductions.com

I am working on adding a comments section to the news page, so that you don’t have to email me, but until then, feel free to send me all of your questions (even if they are not related to Firebolt Productions at all) and I will answer them.

Also, if you’re in the mood of playing some Phantasy Star Zero with me, feel free to email me your friend codes and we’ll set a date and time.

We’re alive and progess on Unbroken

We haven’t had an update here for quite some time, mainly because of us being very busy here at the Firebolt Productions studios, which brings us to the main reason you probably are reading this: “What happened to Unbroken?”

Let me just clarify this: Unbroken was not an april fools joke (why are you saying that? We uploaded it in march), it is real and we have come very far on it, so you’ll see it soon, but not in “Spring 2009″ as it says on the trailer.

I really feel bad, not having anything else to show you after all these months, but once we have a big project here, we work on that thing and nothing else until it’s done. Heck, instead of giving you something, I took away something. That’s right, the forum is gone. The last post was a year old, so I deleted the whole forum.

Please subscribe and help us become partners with YouTube; the time limit makes us unable to upload the majority of our videos, but I will still try to upload some Firebolt Productions “classics” and then Unbroken, even if we will have to split it up in 200 parts.

Further on the website design.

I made the video section today. I think it’s rather good looking.

I should have done this a long time ago, but I have lately been procrastinating from it, playing Team Fortress 2 which I pre-ordered (well, the full Orange Box) a week before it came out but had only played it a few times because of me not having time for it. I’m not saying I had time to play it either, but I really felt like it and I didn’t really know about the achievments thingy.

I really suck at first person shooters (well, I suck on every game that is not Commander Keen) but I’ve really been enjoying playing them surf maps a lot.

Anyways, if you’re up for a game of TF2 or Half-Life or even Garry’s Mod, why don’t you add me as a friend on steam? My Steam name is Niklasva, and you can find me on the STEAM COMMUNITY.

Webdesign + Trailer

The website has finally been redesigned, I hope you like it.

Other news is that Johan released a trailer for Unbroken:
“Unbroken tells the story of a group of draenei refugees hiding from the barbarous orcish invaders. It is a story of both love and hate, and brutal prejudice which will leave a mark on the onlookers.
In the lead we see Glenn X. Govan as Farseer Nobundo, joining a cast of machinima superstars such as Matt Greenberg, Mike Dunahee, the Hackleman brothers, Jeff Gorndt and many more.” http://www.warcraftmovies.com/movieview.php?id=104149

I’ll get it up on the website as soon as I can get a working HD stream of it.
